"Funeral Road" is based on an experience from ten years ago. On the way to a friend's funeral, I found myself falling in love with the stranger driving the car.
As the car moves through space at high speed, it carries both grief and desire. They struggle to make themselves heard, only to dissolve into bubbles. What remains eventually finds its only response from a large language model.
In revisiting this intimate encounter, "Funeral Road" reflects the tension between the rhythms of personal life and the world shadowed by progress.
